Add an image to a dashboard or report

To get started, open the report editor or edit a dashboard section. Click on the Objects tab of the Edit Widget sidebar on the right, then drag and drop the Image widget onto the page.

Click the widget to select it, then click Choose image on the sidebar to the right to launch the media library popover.

The media library displays all uploaded images from across your account, enabling you to quickly reuse images across Clients.

Click Upload in the upper right, or drag and drop images into the media library window to add them. Next, click the image you wish to insert into the widget, then click Insert in the bottom left. The maximum size for an image is 1MB, and accepted file types are svg, png, and jpeg.

Once inserted, you can move the widget by clicking and dragging it, or resize it by dragging the bottom right corner.

You can also choose one of the options below to determine how you want the image to fit in the widget.

Contain

Entire image fits within the widget; may add empty space around the image to ensure this occurs

Cover

Image fills the entire widget; some cropping of either the image's width or height will occur

Fill

Forces the image to fit inside the widget, changing the dimensions to do so

None

Raw, full-size image with focus on the center of the image

Add an image via URL

To add an image to your media library via URL, follow the same initial steps above. In the media management pop-up, click the By URL tab, then paste the image URL.

If the image isn't currently hosted, you can host it using a service likeย Imgur. Only use images for which you have a confirmed license.

Copied a URL, but the image isn't displaying? Double-check the copied URL to ensure it ends with a file type, like .jpg or .png. If there's no file type at the end, then the URL isn't for an image, but for a webpage instead.

Remove or replace an image in an image widget

From the report editor or while editing a dashboard, click an image widget you wish to edit.

Hover over the image preview on the sidebar to the right, then click the red X to remove the image from this widget.

This will remove it from the widget you were editing, but won't affect any other widgets containing this same image or the media library.

To replace the image, click the pencil icon, then select something fresh from the media library or insert an image URL!

Permanently delete an image from the media library

When an image is deleted from the media library, it's immediately removed from all widgets where it was previously displayed. This cannot be reverted.

To permanently delete an image from the media library, navigate to a widget displaying the image you wish to delete. Click the ellipsis menu in the upper right, then click Edit.

On the sidebar to the right, hover over the image preview and then click the pencil icon to launch the media library window.

From the media library popover, hover over the image you would like to permanently delete. A small red trash can will appear in the upper right corner of the image tile.

Click the red trash can, then confirm the deletion in the pop-up.

Files deleted from your media library will no longer be displayed on your dashboards and reports.

If a new image is not inserted into the widget in its place, 'Please select an image' will display on client dashboards and reports sent out after the image was deleted.
