AI Summary
AI summaries can be generated for chart and graph widgets, or added to reports and dashboard sections to provide a full summary of that page. You can even use it to summarize entire reports!

Using AI Summary on report pages or dashboard sections
AI Summary is an AI-powered object that can be added as a widget to a report or dashboard. To get started, open the report or edit the dashboard section you'd like to summarize.
At the top of the right toolbar, click Build With AI, then drag AI Summary from the menu onto the page.
Each AI summary is generated based on the page's contents at the time the summary is added. It is also generated in the preferred language set for your client (although you can override this at any time by prompting the AI to generate your summary in a different language).
The AI summary will generate in a few seconds. Once done you can customize the summary using the textbox tools.
You can guide the summary tone, language, focus and more by entering additional prompts, then clicking Update summary.
Toggle on auto-refresh for the AI Summary to have it automatically update. Click the AI Summary widget, then in the sidebar to the right click the toggle. Green means it is enabled for this widget.
Use AI Summary on an entire report
The AI Summary widget can also summarize all pages within a report at once.
Open the report you want to summarize, then click Build with AI to the right. Drag AI Summary from the menu onto the page, then wait for it to finish the initial summary.
Click on the AI Summary widget, then click "Full Report" to increase the scope of the AI Summary. After loading, the AI Summary will display a summary of the entire report.
You can also guide your summary content using the AI prompt box: Customize tone, focus, context, length and structure with prompting.
Enter the prompt, then click update summary. The widget will reload and display a refreshed AI Summary based off your prompt.
Continue adjusting and building on your prompt until you're happy with the output.
Edit an AI report or dashboard summary
Once generated, the AI summary widget can be edited in the same way as the textbox widget. To do so, click the ellipsis in the upper right of the widget, then click Edit or if in a report, simply click the widget.
Once the widget is in edit mode, you can change text size, color, and alignment, or edit the generated text. Simply highlight the text to display your formatting choices.
Using AI Summary on stat and chart widgets
AI summary can be used on any dashboard stat or chart widget to generate helpful insights based on your data.
Simply hover over a widget, then click the ✨ icon to generate AI insights.

How do I turn Auto-refresh summary on/off?
When you click the ellipses in an AI Summary widget to edit it, you’ll see a toggle option for ‘Auto-refresh summary’.
What triggers an auto-refresh?
A refresh triggers in the following scenarios:
When a user updates the date range in the date picker
When a client updates the date range in the date picker of a dashboard or linked report
When a user opens a report or dashboard that has a date selected that isn’t custom (ie. Today, Yesterday, This Week, Last Week, This Month, Last Month, etc.)
When a client opens a dashboard or linked report that has a date selected that isn’t custom (ie. Today, Yesterday, This Week, Last Week, This Month, Last Month, etc.)
Does Auto-refresh work for scheduled reports?
Yes, if the toggle for Auto-refresh is turned on; but only for the first time the report is opened.
For example, if I have a Monthly report which is being sent out the first day of the month, the first user who opens the summary will see an updated report. Any user opening the report after that will see a cached version.
If I edit my AI Summary using my widget toolbar, will the formatting I set remain when the summary refreshes?
No. Any editing done to your summary using the widget toolbar will be reset when the summary auto refreshes, however, any refinements made to your AI Summary using the option to ‘Guide your summary’ with AI will be included in the refresh.
For example, if you prompted that you wanted your summary to use casual, conversational language and to only present in bullet format, that prompt will be reapplied with each summary refresh.
