How to capture an image of a widget

Go to any dashboard or web report, hover your mouse over a widget, and click on the ellipsis "..." located in the top-right corner. Then, click "Share”.

The drop-down menu will then display 2 options: “Copy” or “Download”.

  • Copy - This will copy the image to your clipboard as a PNG image (on supported web browsers).

  • Download - This will save the image to your computer. The screenshot will be saved as a PNG image.

Regardless of the option you choose, the end result will look like this:

Additional Information

All users (admin, staff, and client users) will be able to share widgets at any time, except for when the custom dashboard is in edit mode or from within the report editor.

Note that the "Copy" functionality is only available on browsers that support clipboard API (for example, the Chrome browser supports this).

Using this to capture a textbox image? For your screenshot to include images inside textboxes, the textbox images must come from a source that has a supported CORS header. Imgur is an example of an image hosting service with CORS support.
