Reauthorize or Reconnect a Data Source

Learn how to quickly and easily reconnect or reauthorize data sources in your AgencyAnalytics account.

Written by Tatum Savage

Disconnections can happen for a few reasons — the native platform may push changes that require all connected tools to reconnect, run security checks on authorized integrations, or the connected user's permissions may change unexpectedly.

Since AgencyAnalytics relies on authorized API connections to display your Client data, reconnecting quickly will keep your Dashboards and Reports running without interruption.

To help teams stay on top of any connection issues, all Staff and Admin users are subscribed to in-app notifications for disconnected data sources.

Reauthorize oAuthentication connections

Click Data Sources on the left sidebar to open the account-level Data Sources page.

The status column notes which data sources are currently disconnected. Click the column title show all disconnected data sources at the top of the table, or use the filters at the top.

Click the ellipsis menu to the right, then click Reconnect and follow the authorization prompts. All data sources under the same oAuthorization will reconnect once authorization is complete.

If one account (e.g., an MCC or Meta Business Manager) is connected to multiple Clients, clicking Reconnect re-authenticates all of them in one step.

Reconnect a data source from your notifications

Admin and Staff users are notified when a data source disconnects in AgencyAnalytics.

A red dot on the Notifications tray indicates a fresh notification. These notifications display the date, data source and Client name for the disconnected data source.

To quickly reconnect, simply click the Reconnect button in the notification itself, then follow the prompts in the authorization window.

Clients connected to the same integration account will also be reconnected upon successful reauthorization.

Reconnect a disconnected data source in a Client

Data sources that do not use oAuthentication must be removed from a Client first, then reconnected. Click any Client on the Client page to open it, then click the Data Sources at tab at the top of the page.

Click the ellipsis to the far right of the disconnected data source, then click Remove.

Now, click Connect Data Source in the top right, then search for and click on the data source you just removed. Follow the authorization prompts again to finalize the connection.

❓ FAQ

Why didn't all of my accounts reconnect for a data source?

If the data source requires a specific API key or manual credentials then it must be reverified manually for each Client. Only platforms that use oAuthentication will reconnect the data source across Clients.
