🔌 Connect LinkedIn Ads

To avoid a failed connection or error when integrating LinkedIn Ads to a Client, the person connecting must have:

  • Access in LinkedIn Ads to the ad campaigns you wish to pull into AgencyAnalytics

If the above requirements are met, simply follow these steps to connect:

  1. Open the Client where you'd like to connect LinkedIn Ads, then click the Data Sources tab at the top.

  2. Click the blue Connect Data Source button in the upper right corner of the page.

  3. Search for LinkedIn Ads in the search bar at the top, then click the LinkedIn Ads card.

  4. Select the correct account you wish to connect, or if you've previously connected to LinkedIn Ads, click the gray Connect New Account button below the connections list to add a new connection.

  5. Log into LinkedIn Ads using your email and password. Then, accept any permissions requested and follow the prompts to finalize the authorization.

Next, select the account you want to connect from the connections list, then click "Save".

The integration will then be complete, and your client's LinkedIn Ads metrics will be available via dashboards and reports.

How to Troubleshoot Common Causes of LinkedIn Ads Integration Issues

LinkedIn Ads integration issues in AgencyAnalytics are often caused by token expiration, permission changes, or platform-side updates:

  1. Third-Party Platform Factors: Disconnections may occur due to changes on LinkedIn's side, such as: - Platform-side updates requiring reconnection. - Security checks that revalidate authorized integrations, potentially forcing a disconnect. - Changes to the connected user’s permissions.

  2. Authorization Token Expiration: LinkedIn authorization tokens can become invalid, leading to disconnections. This requires reauthorization to restore the connection.

  3. Permissions or Authorization Changes: Expired connections or lost permissions on LinkedIn's side can prevent data from syncing.

Step-by-Step Troubleshooting for Reconnection

Follow these steps to resolve disconnections and restore LinkedIn Ads data synchronization:

  1. Remove the Existing Connection: - Navigate to the Clients area in your AgencyAnalytics account. - Search for the specific client and open their page. - Go to the Data Sources section and remove the LinkedIn Ads connection.

  2. Reconnect the Account: - Click the “+ Connect New Account” button to establish a fresh session. - Sign in to LinkedIn and authorize the integration.

  3. Reauthorize Across Multiple Clients (if needed): - If the issue affects multiple clients, repeat the remove-and-readd process for each affected client.

Resolving Data Discrepancies

If LinkedIn Ads data isn’t syncing or appears incorrect, try the following:

  1. Refresh the Account Connection: - Open the Data Sources tab. - Remove the LinkedIn Ads connection. - Reconnect the account to the client campaign.

  2. Check Permissions: - Ensure the connected LinkedIn account has the necessary permissions to access the Ads data.
