Conncet HubSpot

How to connect your HubSpot account to your AgencyAnalytics dashboard.

Written by Katie C.

HubSpot offers a centralized customer database where businesses can keep all their customer information in one location.

Connecting HubSpot to AgencyAnalytics allows you to pull important analytics directly from your HubSpot account into client reports and dashboards.

Connect HubSpot

To avoid a failed connection or error when integrating HubSpot to a Client, the person connecting must have:

  • Have SuperAdmin permissions for the account

If the above requirements are met, simply follow these steps to connect:

  1. Open the Client where you'd like to connect HubSpot.

  2. Click Integrations (plug icon) on the left side menu.

  3. Click Connect Integration in the upper right corner.

  4. Search for HubSpot in the search bar at the top, then click the HubSpot card.

  5. Click Connect New Account to launch the authorization window

  6. Follow the prompts in the OAuth window to verify and finalize the connection.

In the pop-up, click the circle to the left of the account you'd like to connect, then click Choose Account.

On the next page, take time to review the data access request. AgencyAnalytics requires access to Manage and view your CRM data, read access from the Business Intelligence API, and Basic HubSpot account information.

At the bottom, check the box to confirm you understand the scope of access before clicking Connect app.

After loading, the window will close, and you will be directed to a confirmation page.

You can now add HubSpot widgets to dashboards and reports.

Disconnect HubSpot from AgencyAnalytics

Head to the Data section within a Client, and search for Hubspot.

Click the ellipsis menu to the far right, then click Remove in the drop-down menu.

Once disconnected, data from this HubSpot account will stop flowing into AgencyAnalytics until it is reconnected. All widgets will display the error message "Integration Disconnected".

HubSpot FAQ

How do I remove AgencyAnalytics from HubSpot's end?

To uninstall AgencyAnalytics from your HubSpot account, follow the instructions in this HubSpot Knowledge Base article.

Why is a string of numbers displayed, not a form name?

When a form is initially deleted in HubSpot, it remains available in the HubSpot backend in case the customer needs to restore it. We can't filter out these deleted forms, so we display them as we receive them, which is with a string of numbers in place of a form name.

Why do my email widgets show data outside my selected date range?

HubSpot email data is grouped by the campaign's published date, not by the date the activity occurred.

For example, if you build a report for March and an email campaign was published in March but continued running into May, the widgets will include that email's data all the way through to the end of its run in May, even though your report is scoped to March.

Conversely, if an email campaign was published in a different month (for example, February), none of its data will appear in a March report, even if the campaign was still active during March. This is a limitation of how HubSpot's API sends email data to us, not a display error in AgencyAnalytics.

How do Hubspot email marketing campaigns get fetched?

At present, HubSpot does not offer a direct method for users to utilize their API to obtain a comprehensive list of marketing email campaigns. Consequently, our approach involves retrieving all marketing emails and extracting the campaign and campaign name data from the email statistics. As a result, if a particular campaign is not visible in the dropdown menu, it indicates that no marketing emails for that campaign were found during the scraping process.

What data endpoints are available with my HubSpot subscription tier?

Some data endpoints supported by our HubSpot integration are not available across all HubSpot subscription tiers. This means some metrics or widget types will be unavailable in AgencyAnalytics if that data or dimension is not supported by your HubSpot subscription.
