To avoid a failed connection or error when connecting TikTok to a Client, the TikTok account must have:

To enable TikTok profile analytics, open the TikTok mobile app, go to your profile, tap the three dots, choose Business Suite or Creator Tools, and select Analytics.

Once the account requirements above are met, follow these steps to connect TikTok to a Client in AgencyAnalytics.

Step 1: Open the Client where you'd like to connect TikTok, then click the Data Sources tab at the top.

Step 2: Click the blue Connect Data Source button in the upper right corner of the page.

Step 3: Search for TikTok in the search bar at the top, then click the TikTok card.

Step 4: Click Connect New Account to launch the authorization window. If you've previously connected an account, click the gray plus sign at the bottom instead.

Step 5: In the pop-up, select your typical login method, then follow the prompts for credentials and permissions.

Step 6: After signing in, review the requested permissions on the permissions page in the same pop-up, then click Continue in the bottom right to authorize the connection.

After a few seconds, the pop-up window will close, and TikTok will be successfully connected to AgencyAnalytics.

Once TikTok is connected to a Client, historical data begins loading automatically.

Depending on the current speed of the TikTok API and the amount of data in the account, it may take 4 to 6 hours to see the first 30 days of historical data.

60 days of historical profile analytics data is available for fetch, while content analytics data will always display all-time data.

If you're seeing an error or no data comes through, double-check that the following requirements are met:

TikTok requires all of the above to send data via the API, so if you're seeing an error or not seeing any data, one of these requirements is likely missing.

You can only connect the TikTok account you authorize (log in as) during setup. The integration uses TikTok's Login Kit (user-level OAuth) and surfaces exactly one account, the one whose login is used. There is no step that lists or enumerates other accounts.

Accounts that a user manages only for clients through TikTok Business Center or Business Manager are not surfaced and cannot be connected through that access alone. To connect a client's account, the user must authorize directly as that account, using its own login.

Yes. You don't have to use a client's TikTok login credentials. Instead, you can set your client up with a client user account within AgencyAnalytics and grant them permissions to connect integrations.

Your client can then sign in to their own AgencyAnalytics account and connect their TikTok account, authorizing themselves in TikTok. This connects the account without you ever needing to handle the client's credentials.

When first connecting the TikTok Social integration, TikTok Social warehouses may experience an 18-hour fetch delay before the first batch begins processing. As data is hydrated from recent to latest, historical data will sometimes not be available until this delay has elapsed. Reach out to our friendly support team if the data is still not fetched after this delay.

This happens because the TikTok Social API recalculates all metrics for data that is 2 to 3 days old to ensure accuracy.

Post thumbnails expire after 48 hours within the TikTok Social API.
