Connect BrightLocal
To avoid a failed connection or error when integrating BrightLocal to a Client, the person connecting must have:
BrightLocal Multi-business, SEO Pro, or Enterprise account plan
At least one report at brightlocal.com for the location you want to connect
If those requirements are met, follow these steps to connect:
Open the Client where you'd like to connect BrightLocal, then click the Data Sources tab at the top.
Click the blue Connect Data Source button in the upper right corner of the page.
Search for BrightLocal in the search bar at the top, then click the BrightLocal card.
Click Connect New Account to launch the OAuth window.
In the window that appears, enter the API Key for your BrightLocal account, then click Save. If you're not sure where to find your API Key, see BrightLocal's API setup guide or contact BrightLocal support.
6. Select the client you want to connect, then click Save.
The integration is now complete. Your client's BrightLocal metrics will be imported and displayed within the dashboard.
BrightLocal FAQ
Why is my BrightLocal integration showing no data?
This happens when there's no report in your BrightLocal account for the location you've connected. BrightLocal requires you to run a report in your account (at brightlocal.com) before it sends data to AgencyAnalytics. Until a report exists, you'll see an error that reads "no reports have been found for this location."
To fix it, go to brightlocal.com and run a report for that location. Once the location has a report, the data will show on your BrightLocal dashboard.
Why can't I group my BrightLocal data by the date range I select?
BrightLocal doesn't send date-dependent data through its API, so in most cases, we can't group your data by date. The only exception is line graph widgets.
Why can't I see my BrightLocal Citation Tracker data?
To see Citation Tracker data, you'll first need to run a report in BrightLocal. For instructions, see BrightLocal's guide on creating a Citation Tracker report.
