Track a custom backlink

Our backlink manager integration lets you manually track and report on backlinks that are especially important to you or your clients.

  1. From within a campaign, hover over the sidebar on the left, click SEO to expand the menu, then click Backlink Manager.

  2. Click the Add Backlink button either in the center of the page or, if you've previously added a backlink, in the upper right-hand corner of the page.

  3. In the pop-over, fill in the required fields, then click Add Backlink in the bottom left to add the backlink for monitoring.

  4. Published and Unpublished links can now be explored by clicking the appropriate tab at the top of the page. Published links can be analyzed graphically by custom link type.

Website URL

The exact URL of the page where the link appears.

Website title

The name of the website hosting the link as you'd like it to appear in your reports.

Target URL

The URL that the link points to.

Target Anchor

The anchor text of the Target URL.

Link Type

A custom text field that can be used to classify links, such as "Social," "Guest Post," etc.

Status

Choose Published if the link is currently live on the web. Choose Unpublished if the link is not live yet.

Date Published

If Published status is selected, this field lets you record the date the link went live.

Notes

An optional field for custom notes about this link.

Edit a custom backlink

Backlinks can be edited from the same page where they are added and monitored.

  1. From within a campaign, hover over the sidebar on the left, click SEO to expand the menu, then click Backlink Manager.

  2. Hover over the link that you'd like to modify, click the ellipsis (...) on the far right to open a dropdown menu, then click Edit.

Edit the required fields, then save them at the bottom left to update the backlink. If the backlink status was changed, you'll now see it on the opposing pages table.

Delete a custom backlink

First, click the box to the left of the backlink name. Next, click the Delete button above it.

In the confirmation pop-up, review the backlinks that will be removed. When you are certain, click the red Delete button to delete them completely.

❓ Backlink Manager FAQ

Can I import backlinks via a file or add them in bulk?

It's not possible to import links via a file or to add them in bulk. As the backlinks manager is intended for use only with crucially important links, this functionality is not on our roadmap.
