CTM

CTM (formerly CallTrackingMetrics) is a call-tracking and contact-center platform that helps businesses connect their marketing efforts to inbound calls. It provides detailed call attribution and analytics so you can see which campaigns are driving phone leads. Connecting CTM to AgencyAnalytics lets you report on that call data alongside your other marketing metrics.

Before You Start

To avoid a failed connection or error when connecting CTM to a Client, the person connecting must have:

  • CTM API Access Key

  • CTM API Secret

If you don't have these yet, see "Where do I find my API access key and secret key?" in the FAQ section below.

Connect CTM

Follow these steps to connect CTM to a Client in AgencyAnalytics:

Step 1: Open the Client where you'd like to connect CTM, then click the Data Sources tab at the top.

Step 2: Click the Connect Data Source button in the upper right corner of the page.

Step 3: Search for CTM in the search bar at the top, then click the CTM card.

Step 4: Click Connect New Account to launch the authorization window. Follow the prompts to enter your CTM API Access Key and API Secret, then verify the connection.

Please note: It may take up to an hour after the first connection for CTM to fully initialize.

FAQ

Where do I find my API access key and secret key?

To obtain your CTM API Access Key and API Secret, follow these steps:

Step 1: From your CTM dashboard, select Settings in the top-right corner, then Account Settings.

Step 2: Locate and copy your credentials under the API Integration section.

How often does CTM data update?

CTM caches data for 60 minutes after AgencyAnalytics's first API call. After that, data updates in real time.

Why don't my missed calls match what I see in CTM?

CTM doesn't send missed-call data via its API, so AgencyAnalytics calculates this metric independently. A call counts as missed when it wasn't marked "Answered" or when the call duration is 0 and there's no recorded call.

Why can't I see any calls in my report?

This is usually caused by filters set on the CTMAPI that prevent certain calls from being sent to AgencyAnalytics. Check with your developer or whoever manages your CTM account to review these API filters.

Can I access call recordings for any date range?

AgencyAnalytics should be able to retrieve call recordings regardless of look-back time. Availability ultimately depends on your account's native call retention settings in CTM. If a recording has expired or been deleted there, it won't be available in AgencyAnalytics either.

How can I compare AgencyAnalytics data to the native CTM dashboard?

There isn't an exact one-to-one comparison process, but a good starting point is to review all call activity in CTM (starting with calls not marked "Answered"), then compare that against what AgencyAnalytics counts as missed. Using CTM's native filters can help you spot where the two differ.
