Report scheduling allows you to set up email reports that are automatically sent daily, weekly, biweekly (sent on odd weeks of the year), monthly, quarterly, or annually.
How to create an automated report
From anywhere in the app, click Reports on the left sidebar to open the Reports page, then click Create Report in the upper right corner to start the creation process.
This will open the Create Report window, where you'll choose the report's source, set the report title, and begin designing.
First, select your report type; you can choose between a Slide Deck or a Document Report.
Next, choose your starting point. This determines how you’ll begin designing your report and what data or templates you’ll build from.
Choose from:
A blank report: This gives you a fresh design with nothing pre-configured
Smart Report: This will create a report using the integrations you currently have connected to the Client
A report template: This lets you start from a template that you've created, or one of the pre-configured templates that we provide
An existing report: This allows you to clone an existing report from any Client, and then edit it if required
Add a title then click Continue in the bottom left.

Next, design your report, adding and configuring report sections and widgets as needed.
Reports autosave every second. Check the indicator on the upper right to confirm that a report has been saved.
When you're finished with your design, click Schedule at the top of the page.
Scheduling
First, select the frequency at which your report will be sent from the dropdown menu.
Once selected, the scheduling options will display, and you can set the parameters for this scheduled report.
Frequency | The frequency at which the report will automatically send to recipients |
Day of Week/Month | The exact day your report is sent. To schedule a report for the last day of any month, choose the 31st |
Time of Day | The time at which the scheduled report will automatically send |
Date Range | The time period for the report's data |
Compare to Previous | Compare the report's date range to another time period |
Include Today | Where applicable, choose to include today's data in your report's date range |
Require Approval | The report will not be sent until you check its data and approve it |
You can also choose to turn on the ability for users to edit the date range of this report. Doing so will add a date range selector to the report, enabling the recipients to change the date range after the report is received.
Once you've set the schedule, and schedule settings how you'd like, scroll down to set the recipient, subject, and message for this report.
The email options determine who the report will be sent to, and the email's subject and body:
Recipients: Enter each email address to which you would like the report to be sent.
Subject: Enter the subject of the automated report email.
Message: Enter the message body of the automated report email.
When finished, click "Save." Your report will then be scheduled according to the settings you've configured!
As a note, all replies from report recipients will go to the Admin email used for your AgencyAnalytics account. Want to get that updated? Your account Admin can change that by following the steps below.
