Report scheduling allows you to set up email reports that are automatically sent daily, weekly, biweekly (sent on odd weeks of the year), monthly, or quarterly.

How to create an automated report

Start in the campaign for which you wish to create the report, and choose "Reports" from the menu on the left side of your screen.

If you haven't previously created a report, click Create Report in the middle of the screen. If you have, click Create Report in the upper right hand corner of your screen instead. This is available on both the Schedule and Not Scheduled tabs of the Reports page.

This will open the Create Report wizard, where you'll choose the source of the report, set the report title, then begin designing.

First, decide on your source. This determines how you will start the design of your report.

Choose from:

  • A blank report. This gives you a fresh design with nothing pre-configured.

  • A report template. This lets you start from a template that you've created, or one of the pre-configured templates that we provide.

  • An existing report. This allows you to clone an existing report from any campaign, and then edit it if required.

Add a title then click "Continue".

Next, design your report, adding and configuring report sections and widgets as need. Save your report regularly, as reports don't autosave.

When finished with your design, click Schedule at the top.

Scheduling

First, select the frequency your report will send at from the dropdown menu.

Once selected, this will reveal your scheduling options to you. In the top section, pick the details of your schedule.

The scheduling wizard allows you to set:

  • Frequency: Choose how often the report is sent. Options include daily, weekly, biweekly (odd weeks of the year), monthly, and quarterly¬†

  • Day of Week/Day of Month: Choose the exact day your report is sent (for weekly, biweekly, and monthly reports)

  • Time of Day: Choose the time of day that the report will be sent

  • Date range: The date period for the report's data

  • Compare To Previous: Compare the report's data to the previous period or previous year

  • Include Today: Where applicable, choose to include today's data in your report's date range

  • Require Approval: The report will not send until you check its data and approve it (report approval is available on some AgencyAnalytics plans)

Once you've set the schedule, and schedule settings how you'd like, scroll down to set the recipient, subject, and message for this report.

The email options determine who the report will be sent to, and the email's subject and body:

  • Recipients: Enter each email address to which you would like the report to be sent.

  • Subject: Enter the subject of the automated report email.

  • Message: Enter the message body of the automated report email.

When finished, click "Save". Your report will then be scheduled per the settings that you've configured.
