ChatPGT Ads
With ChatGPT Ads connected, agencies can bring that spend into AgencyAnalytics reports alongside every other channel, rather than tracking it separately.
The integration adds four report sections:
- Campaigns, delivery by campaign, with budgets, status, and flight dates
- Ad Groups, the same delivery one level down, with each row's parent campaign
- Ads & Creative, every ad with its creative thumbnail, title, copy, and review status
- Segments, the same six delivery metrics broken down by Country, Device, and Platform
You'll find these under Report → PPC → ChatGPT Ads.
Each section pulls from a single dataset, so the six delivery metrics and filters behave consistently everywhere. Pick a metric on a stat tile, and the charts above it follow, and that choice carries across sections.
Clicking a campaign, ad group, or ad opens its own Country, Device, and Platform breakdown in a slide-out panel, without leaving the table you're reading.
Before You Start
To avoid a failed connection or error, the person connecting must have:
- Access to the ChatGPT Ads account's Settings → API keys page to create a key
- An API key scoped to the specific ad account you want to report on
Keep in mind that a key only covers one ad account. There's no account picker after connecting; the key you use determines the account, and its currency and time zone come with it. If you're reporting on more than one client, you'll need to connect one key per client.
Connect ChatGPT Ads
If the above requirements are met, follow these steps to connect:
Step 1: Open the Client where you'd like to connect ChatGPT Ads.
Step 2: Click Integrations on the left sidebar.
Step 3: Click Connect Integration in the upper right corner.
Step 4: Search for ChatGPT Ads in the search bar, then click the ChatGPT Ads card.
Step 5: In your ChatGPT Ads account, go to Settings → API keys and create a new key.
Step 6: Paste the API key into the connection window in AgencyAnalytics, then click Connect to finalize.
Delivery Metrics
The same six delivery metrics appear in every section, alongside the attributes for each level.
- Impressions, times the ad was shown
- Clicks, clicks on the ad
- Spend, amount spent, in the ad account's currency
- CTR, clicks as a share of impressions
- CPC, cost per click, as OpenAI reports it
- CPM, cost per thousand impressions
CPC and CPM come straight from OpenAI rather than being recalculated from spend and clicks, so a single row matches your ChatGPT Ads dashboard exactly. When rows are combined (a date total, or a filtered view), they're recomputed from the combined spend, clicks, and impressions.
Conversions
Conversions, Click-Through Conversions, and View-Through Conversions are available on the Campaigns, Ad Groups, and Ads & Creative tables. They're off by default; turn them on from the metrics picker on each table.
These conversion metrics come from a different OpenAI endpoint than the delivery metrics, which only answer per campaign, ad group, or ad. That's why you won't find them on date or segment breakdowns, and why they only cost an extra request when at least one of the columns is switched on.
Filters
- Campaigns / Ad Groups / Ads, narrows every widget in the section to what you pick; leave empty for the whole account
- Campaign / Ad Group / Ad Status, Active or Not Active; leave it off to see both
- Date Interval, daily or monthly points on the trend charts
- PPC Markup, applies your agency markup to Spend, CPC, CPM, and the budgets
The status filters have no default, so a report opens showing the same campaigns, ad groups, and ads that ChatGPT Ads' own tables show. Pick Active to see live delivery only, or Not Active to audit what's been paused, even entities with zero delivery in the range you picked will show up, with metrics reading zero.
FAQ
Why don't I see ROAS or cost per conversion for ChatGPT Ads?
ChatGPT Ads doesn't report revenue, so cost per conversion, conversion rate, and ROAS can't be shown. Those columns are left out entirely rather than shown as empty, and there's no setting to turn them on.
Why are my Conversions columns showing nothing?
Conversions are off by default. Turn them on from the metrics picker on the Campaigns, Ad Groups, or Ads & Creative table.
Why don't today's numbers match what I see in my ChatGPT Ads account?
Attribution for the current day is still preliminary on OpenAI's side, so today's figures can shift. Once a day has closed, its numbers don't change.
Why does my date range not go back as far as I picked?
Two limits apply automatically. OpenAI reports against the ad account's own timezone, so if that timezone is behind yours, a range reaching past the account's "today" gets pulled back to it. OpenAI also doesn't serve data older than five years, so any earlier range starts at that five-year mark instead. You'll still see every day inside your range that OpenAI has data for.
Can I use one API key for multiple clients?
No. A key is scoped to a single ad account, so you'll need to connect a separate key for each client.
What does "Unknown" mean in my Country, Device, or Platform breakdown?
That's a value OpenAI itself provides, not a gap on our end. It shows up when OpenAI couldn't attribute an impression to a specific country, device, or platform.
