Share and Download Reports

AgencyAnalytics gives you several ways to get reports in front of clients: share a link, download a PDF, pull historical copies, and track engagement.

Create a Shareable Link to a Report

Generate a read-only web link to any report and share it with anyone, no AgencyAnalytics login required.

Step 1: Navigate to the client, click the Reports tab in the top client menu, then click the name of the report you'd like to share.

Step 2: Inside the report editor, click the Share button in the top right corner, then select Share Link from the dropdown menu.

Step 3: Choose the date range and comparison period you'd like the link to cover. Toggle whether recipients can change the date range themselves, then click Create Link.

Step 4: Once the report generates, click Copy Link to copy the URL to your clipboard. Share it however you like; the recipient will have instant read-only access.

Note: The URL for each link is based on your custom subdomain or white-label domain.

To review links you've previously created, click Activity at the top of the report editor, then select the Links tab. Each entry shows the date range covered.

For dynamic reports, a notepad-and-pencil icon will indicate that the link updates automatically. Click the Ellipses menu on any entry to view, edit, delete, or copy the URL again.

Download a Report on Demand

If you've already saved a report, you can open the report and download a copy instantly. If you're inside the report editor, see further down this page for how to download an instant report.

Step 1: Click the report in question to open its settings. You can do this with either scheduled or unscheduled reports. Simply click the appropriate tab at the top, then the report in question.

Step 2: Inside the report editor, click the Share button in the top right, then select Download PDF.

Step 3: Set the date range you'd like the report to cover, then click Download. The PDF will save to your local device.

Re-download a PDF You've Already Generated

Step 1: Open the report editor, click Activity at the top, then the Downloads tab.

Step 2: Click the Ellipsis menu on any entry and select Download.

Download a Previously E-mailed Report

Retrieve a PDF copy of any report that was automatically sent in the past.

Step 1: Navigate to the client where the report lives, then click the Reports tab, and click on the name of the report you'd like to retrieve.

Step 2: Inside the report editor, click Activity at the top, then select the Emails tab.

Step 3: Each row represents a time the report was automatically generated and sent. Click the Ellipses button on the entry you want, then select Download to save a PDF copy.

View Report Engagement

See exactly who opened, clicked, or downloaded a report, which helps confirm that clients have seen their data.

Step 1: Navigate to the Reports section via the left side menu, then click the name of the report you'd like to review.

Step 2: Click Activity at the top of the report editor to open the Activity page.

Step 3: Use the tabs at the top: Emails, Downloads, and Links to view activity by delivery type.

Emails Tab

Logs every time a report was emailed, including date sent, status, date range covered, open rate, and click rate. Click the ellipses on any entry, then View Recipients to see per-recipient delivery and engagement details.

Downloads Tab

Logs every PDF download made on the platform, including the download date, status, and the date range covered. Click the Ellipses to download the report again or remove it from the log.

Links Tab

Displays all shareable web links generated for this report. Click the Ellipses to view, edit, delete, or copy the link URL again.

Understanding Report & Email Statuses

Report Send Statuses

Pending

The email is queued for sending and will be sent soon.

Sent

The email was successfully sent.

Error

The platform encountered an error when sending.

If you see an Error status, click the Ellipses on that entry and select View Recipients to see the slide-out panel with per-recipient delivery details and error messages.

Recipient Delivery Statuses

Most email errors typically stem from email address issues.

Delivered

The recipient's mail server confirmed delivery.

Bounced

The email could not be delivered to the address provided.

Inactive

The address had already bounced previously. Verify the address is correct and hasn't marked prior report emails as spam.

Invalid Sender

For accounts using a custom white-label email address, this means the DKIM record is missing or invalid.
