Create a Report Template
Templates can be built from scratch, cloned from an existing template, or created from an existing client report.
From anywhere in AgencyAnalytics, click Templates in the left sidebar.
Click Reports at the top to select Report Templates, then click Create Template in the upper right corner.
Select Report to create a report template.
Choose the format for the template:
Slide deck — landscape orientation, best for presenting on a screen
Document — best for viewing as a web report or PDF
Choose a source the template will be built from. Start from scratch, clone an existing template, or copy the design of an existing report.
If starting from an existing template or report, select it from the list on the next screen. When matching formats, look for the document or presentation icon beside each name to confirm it matches the layout type you chose.
Lastly name your template, and click Continue. You'll land in the template editor. From here, add pages or slides, widgets, images, backgrounds, and more. Changes are autosaved automatically — the autosave indicator appears in the upper right corner.
Use a Template to Create a Report
From the left sidebar, click Reports, then click Create Report in the upper right.
Choose either a Client Report, for reporting on individual Clients, or a Roll-Up Report, for reporting on multiple clients, locations, or brands. From the dropdown, select the Client or Client(s) you'll be reporting on.
In the report setup wizard, choose the report format, then proceed to the Choose Source step and select Start from a Template.
Choose from your own saved templates or AgencyAnalytics's professionally designed, pre-configured templates. Select a template and click Continue.
The report design editor will open, where you can add any additional customizations for the specific Client.
Edit a Report Template
Click Templates in the left sidebar, then select the Reports tab. Click any template in the list to open it in the report editor.
Make your changes. Changes are autosaved — confirm the autosave indicator has updated before closing. Click the X in the upper right corner to exit.
Note: Editing a template only affects the template itself. Reports that were previously created from this template are not updated. To apply an updated template to existing reports, use the Bulk Apply feature described below.
Bulk Apply a Template to Existing Reports
Use the bulk application tool when you want to roll out a template to reports that were already created — for example, to standardize the look across all client reports at once.
Click Reports in the left sidebar to open the Reports page. Tick the checkbox(es) next to the report(s) you want to update.
Click Apply Template at the top of the column. Select the template to apply, then click Apply Template to confirm.
⚠️ Caution: Applying a template overwrites the existing contents of the selected reports. This action cannot be undone. If you may need to revert, we recommend saving the original report design as its own template first.
Delete a Report Template
Click Templates in the left sidebar, then select the Reports tab. Tick the checkbox next to the template(s) you want to delete.
Click Delete in the pop-up to confirm.
Note: Deleting a template does not affect any reports previously created from it. Once a report is created from a template, it becomes a standalone report.
