How to create a report template
From the home page, hover over the sidebar on the left, then click Templates.
Then, click the Reports tab at the top of the page.
Click Create Template in the upper right corner of the Reports page to launch the template creation wizard. If you haven't created any templates yet, the Create Templates button will be in the middle of the screen instead.
First, choose the style for the report template. Slide decks are best for presenting on a screen, while document reports are best for viewing as a web report or PDF.
Next, choose a source for your report template.
Blank report template | Start fresh with an empty template |
Existing template | Start from a premade template or from a copy of one of your own templates |
Existing report | Copy an existing report to use as the template base |
Next, choose the template or report you wish to use as the base for your new template. If you opted to start fresh, skip this step.
Look for the document icon or presentation icon beside a template or report name to ensure you're choosing a format to copy that matches the type of template you're creating.
When you've selected the template or report, click Continue at the bottom left, then in the last step, enter a name for your template.
Once named, you'll be directed to the report editor. Here, you can add pages or slides, widgets, images, backgrounds, and more to your template.
Changes are autosaved regularly, as shown by the indicator in the upper right. When building a slide deck template, click Present to preview how it will look when presenting.
