FAQ
What is the token_auth, and where can I find this token?
The auth token is a private key that lets a third party securely access your Matomo data via API. Review this Matomo help article to find your auth token.
Can I use a "Secure Only" auth token with AgencyAnalytics?
Yes. The Matomo integration only sends data using POST requests, so a token created with the "Secure Only" setting in Matomo will work without issue.
How do I align my Matomo Revenue metrics in the Matomo integration with my Revenue metrics on the native Matomo platform?
Here's a table showing common native Matomo Revenue metrics alongside their corresponding AgencyAnalytics Matomo integration Revenue metrics:
Native Matamo Revenue Metric | Matomo Integration Revenue Metric |
Revenue by Search Engine, Social Network, or Channel | Acquisition Revenue |
Revenue by Browser or Country | Visitor Revenue |
Product Revenue Totals | Product Revenue & Goal Revenue |
How do I resolve the "Segment you requested has not yet been created in the Segment Editor, so the report data has not been pre-processed" error?
This error appears when you use (or open a section that uses) the Channel filter without the Channel Type or Referrer Type segment enabled in the native Matomo platform. You can enable this segment in the native Matomo platform by following this Matomo guide.
