Site Auditor is available as a paid add-on in accounts created before November 2023. For more information please reach out to our friendly support team.
Our site auditor allows you to identify which of your pages contain duplicate titles. You can verify this directly on your website using your browser's developer tools with the following instructions.
How to find pages with duplicate titles
Navigate to the SEO --> Site Auditor dashboard module. Click "Duplicate Titles" to see more information about which URLs have been flagged with this issue.
The dashboard will show you a list of pages for which the site auditor has found duplicate titles, as well as the total count of pages.
The text in blue will indicate the title of that page. Copy this text to your clipboard using Control+C and click it to view a list of pages with matching titles.
A new dashboard will open with a slide-out panel on the right containing a list of pages with the same title as the URL you were exploring. To open these pages, hover over them and click the "Open in a new window" icon at the right of each of the links.
How to find titles on your website's pages
Once the page has opened in a new tab, open your web browser's developer tools by right-clicking and selecting "Inspect". Alternatively, press Command+Option+C (Mac) or Control+Shift+C (Windows, Linux, Chrome OS).
The developer tools will open on the right or bottom of your screen. Select the “Elements” tab.
Press Control+F to open the search bar and paste the page title you've previously copied to your clipboard.
All the way to the right of the search bar, you will find the count of found matches. Use the arrows next to it to find the title on your page. This title should be placed in your code between the attributes <title> and </title>.
If you do not find this title on your page, reach out to our customer support team for assistance.
