How to create a report template
From your root control panel, navigate to your "Templates" control panel via the left side menu.
Then, select the "Reports" tab.
Next, click "Create Template".
If you haven't created any templates yet, you'll see the "Create Report Template" button in the middle of the screen instead.
Either way, this will open the Report Template Creation Wizard. In the first step, select the source for your template.
- Create a blank template: Start fresh with a blank slate template
- Start from another template: Clone an existing template, then apply additional changes.
- Clone an existing report: This option allows you to start a template based off from the design of an existing report.
If you selected "Start from another template", you'll then be prompted to select a template to clone. In this case, select your template and click "Continue".
If you selected "Clone an existing report", you'll then be prompted to select an existing report to clone. In this case, select from the list of reports and click "Continue".
With any of those three options, you'll then be presented with the main report template design editor, where you can add/customize sections and widgets just as you would when designing a standalone report.
Build the template to meet your business needs, then click "Save & Exit".
