The CID number is a unique identifier Google assigns to a Google Business Profile listing. Agencies often need this number to connect or reference a specific Google Business Profile listing in tools that require it. There are a few different ways to find the CID number, depending on the type of listing you're working with.

You can find the CID number for most Google Business Profile listings directly from Google Maps by viewing the page source code.

Step 1: Locate the Google Business Profile listing in the native Google Maps interface and click the listing to select it.

Step 2: In the address bar, replace http:// with view-source: and press Enter.

Step 3: Press CTRL+F on your keyboard and search the source code for the phrase ludocid.

Step 4: Find the string of numbers located after ludocid\u003d and before #lrd. That string of numbers is the CID number.

For example, in this string:

ON+L3Y+4V8\u0026ludocid\u003d18208190227674681406#lrd\u003d0x882ace1b6df9d1db:0xfcb07c8a7b49d03e

The CID number is 18208190227674681406.

The standard Google Maps method above may not work for a Service Area Business (SAB) listing. If your listing is an SAB, use this method instead.

Step 1: Locate the Google Business Profile listing in the native Google Maps interface and click the listing to select it.

Step 2: Look at the long URL in the address bar. Within that URL, find the two long sets of characters that start with 0x. The second one ends just before an exclamation point.

Step 3: Identify the second 0x string. This string lists the CID in hexadecimal format after the 0x.

For example, if the URL is this Google Maps listing, the two strings starting with 0x are 0x882ad2157062b6c3 and 0xe060d065957c4103.

Step 4: Copy the second string to your clipboard, but exclude the 0x. In this example, you'd copy e060d065957c4103.

Step 5: Paste that string into a hexadecimal converter, such as this hexadecimal converter. The resulting string, converted from hexadecimal, is the CID number.
