Troubleshooting Google Business Profile Issues and Errors
There are some common causes of Google Business Profile (GBP) integration failures:
Unverified or Suspended Locations: If any location in a multi-location account is unverified or suspended, it can block data aggregation for all locations.
Missing Permissions: The connected Google account must have verified manager or owner permissions for all locations.
Authentication Issues: Outdated or incorrect authentication tokens can cause integration errors.
Verify Locations and Permissions
Open Google Business Profile and confirm that each location shows a "Verified" status.
Navigate to Business Profile Settings > Managers and ensure the connected Google account is listed as a manager or owner for all locations.
If any location is suspended, address the suspension directly with Google. Suspended locations cannot sync data until reinstated.
Remove and Reconnect Problematic Locations
For multi-location accounts, remove the problematic location (e.g., a suspended or unverified one) from the integration. This allows the remaining verified locations to display aggregated data.
To remove a single problematic location:
Step 1: Open the Client in AgencyAnalytics
Step 2: Go to the Google Business Profile dashboard.
Step 3: Click Settings > Manage > Switch account.
Step 4: Locate the problematic location, remove it, then save changes.
Refresh the Integration
Disconnect the Google Business Profile integration from AgencyAnalytics and reconnect it to refresh authentication and permissions.
Managing Multi-Location Accounts
For accounts with multiple locations, ensure that all locations meet the following criteria:
Verified status in Google Business Profile.
Proper permissions for the connected Google account.
No suspended locations blocking data aggregation.
If a single location causes issues, remove it temporarily and re-add it after resolving the problem.
