Internal Report Comments Overview

Admin and Staff users can now add internal comments on Reports for each other to see. Leave a comment on any part of a report so context stays attached to the right data.

Comment Permissions

  • Comments are internal only for now - Staff and Admin can comment, Client Users cannot

  • To @mention a user in a Report, they must have a user account and have access to the specific report

Conversations appear as threads, and unresolved comments surface in the report list so nothing slips through the cracks!

How to Add an Internal Comment to a Report

This feature includes standard comment functionality:

  • Comments can be applied to any part of the report

  • Comments will appear as threads

  • Users can tag other user with @name and they will get notified

  • Users can resolve and delete comments

  • Unresolved comments will appear in the report list and in the report itself

In the Report editor, click Comments in the top right, then click anywhere on the Report to add a comment.

Tag users in Comments to notify them in-app. Use the @ symbol, then their User profile name to tag them.

Comments will only display in the editor when in Commenting mode. Open threads will be visible on the right sidebar. Click the Comments button to open the sidebar, then click any open thread to jump to that comment location.

When a comment has been actioned or appropriately replied to, click the Resolve checkmark in the top of the thread. The comment will be greyed out, and will move from Open Threads to Resolved Threads in the sidebar.

You can also view which of your Reports have outstanding Comments from the Reports page by looking under the Comments column of the Reports table.
