Using Metric Insights

From the Home page, click a Client tile or name. From within the Client, hover the sidebar on the left, then click Insights.

Next, click one of the Popular Metrics tiles at the bottom or select the metric dropdown on the far right. Then, either type the metric's name or click an integration name and scroll to the metric for which you want to generate insights.

In this example, we chose the "New Links" metric from our Majestic integration and selected the date range "Last 30 Days" in the upper right corner.

After a brief loading period, the Insights page will update to display multiple performance insights on the line chart and on the sidebar to the right.

How to read a trend Forecast

Forecasting is displayed on the right half of the line chart and predicts future performance trends based on your historical data. Hovering over the right half of the chart reveals a tooltip with basic, optimistic, and pessimistic forecasts.

The Forecast tile, shown below the line chart, displays different information depending on the type of metric selected.

Rates (e.g. CTR)

The last forecasted value in the forecasted timeframe

Averages (e.g. CPC)

The last forecasted value in the forecasted timeframe

Absolute Numbers (e.g. Website Visits, Clicks)

Total value over the timeframe forecasted

Understanding Anomaly Detection

The Anomalies tile below the Metric Insights chart will display the total number of detected anomalies for your selected date range.

Hover over the red or green anomaly dots to reveal a tooltip with additional information about the anomaly.

Understanding Benchmarks

Benchmarks enable you to compare your client's most important metrics directly against industry medians over the last 30 days.

On the Metric Insights page, the Benchmark tile displays the industry median, your value, and the percentage of companies you're outperforming or underperforming.

To view a Benchmark chart, click the Benchmarks tab at the top of the Metric Insights page.

Click the Metrics drop-down on the Filters menu to the right, then search for and click the metric you want to benchmark. The Benchmarks graph on the left will update to display helpful insights into how this metric performs across all industries.

To show more specific data to your client, refine the data by industry by clicking the Industry drop-down in the filters menu on the right, then search for and click the relevant industry.

The median benchmark value displayed for monetary metrics is displayed in USD.

Add a Benchmarks graph to a dashboard or report

A Benchmark area graph can be added to a dashboard as a widget or as a section to a report.

From the Benchmark page, hover over the Benchmark graph, then click the ellipsis menu in the upper right. In the drop-down menu, click Add to Dashboard, then select the dashboard for the relevant client to which the widget should be added.

To add the Benchmark graph to a Report, click the Share icon in the upper right corner, then click Add to Report. Create a new report, or add to an existing one by clicking the report name!

AI Summary, Performance Insights, and Tips for Improvement

After choosing a metric, an AI Summary will be generated on the right sidebar, along with additional performance insights and tips on how that metric's performance could be improved.

In our example, the AI Summary breaks down the selected metric, "New Links," which had significant peaks and valleys over the last 30 days, including a potentially concerning valley on the last day.

Performance insights highlight useful data points about the selected metrics' performance, such as current status, the lowest and highest number of "New Links," and our average number of new links for the selected period.

The last section, Tips for Improvement, uses the above insights and summary to generate tips that may help improve your performance.

In our example, the AI Summary noted a drastic drop in "New Links" on the last day of our selected period. This is reflected in the generated "Tips for Improvement," which suggests we increase outreach, avoid drops in "New Links" generation, and engage with partners to create more opportunities to boost new links.
