Bulk Operations

Use bulk operations to quickly update, edit, or delete reports or dashboard sections across campaigns.

To use Bulk Operations, you must be the Admin of a Perform account or a Staff user with Reports & Templates and Bulk Operations permissions enabled.

Perform a New Bulk Operation

Bulk Operations enable teams to quickly and easily manage and update Reports and Dashboard sections across campaigns.

To start, hover over the left sidebar to expand the menu, then click Bulk Operations.

Now on the Bulk Operations page, click Perform New Operation in the upper right-hand corner. This will open the bulk actions wizard, where you'll set the parameters for this operation.

First, select either Reports or Dashboards for your bulk operation.

Next, choose the type of action the operation will perform.

Updates your selected reports or dashboard sections, replacing the existing content with the contents of the selected template

Permanently deletes any selected reports or dashboard sections

Allows you to pause or resume report schedules

After selecting the operation type, the steps to run a bulk operation are essentially the same for both Reports or Dashboards.

Add a new report or dashboard section to multiple campaigns

After selecting the operation type, click Add on the far left.

Use the search field to quickly find the template you need, then select the template by clicking the circle next to the template name. Additionally, clicking the template name will open a design preview on the right.

When ready, click Continue in the bottom left to move to the next step.

Next select the campaigns you want to add the template to. Use the dropdown at the top to filter by campaign group, or use the search field in the upper right of the table.

Once you've selected one or more campaigns, click continue in the bottom left.

Lastly, choose a title for the new report or dashboard section you're creating, then click Continue in the bottom left to move on to the confirmation page.

On the left, you'll see a confirmation message, with a scrollable preview of the new report or dashboard section on the right.

When ready, click Add Template in the bottom left to approve and queue the bulk operation. Depending on the number of campaigns involved the update itself may take time; you can view progress on the Bulk Operations table.

Apply an existing template to selected reports or dashboard sections

This option will apply whichever template you choose to the selected existing report or dashboard sections. Doing so will fully replace the contents of the report or dashboard section with the contents of the template.

After selecting the Report or Dashboard operation type, click Apply Template.

Available templates can be filtered by Default and Custom templates, or you can search using the bar at the top of the templates list. To preview any template simply click the template name, this will open a slide-out on the right.

To make your selection, click the circle to the left of the template name, then click Continue at the bottom left.

Reports or dashboard sections can be filtered by Group, Campaign, and Type, or using the search field in the upper right.

Once the results are narrowed, click the individual boxes to the left of the report or dashboard names to select, or click the uppermost checkbox to select all of the displayed results, then click Continue in the bottom left.

Lastly, review and confirm the changes before clicking Apply template in the bottom left to queue the bulk operation. Depending on the scale of the operation it may take some time to complete; you can view the operation status for details.

Bulk delete reports or dashboard sections

Using Bulk Operations, you can delete multiple reports or dashboard sections at once. Click Delete on the far right to choose this action.

Next, select the reports or dashboard sections you wish to permanently delete. You can filter by Group, Campaign, and Type or use the search field in the upper right.

Once the results are narrowed, click the individual boxes to the left of the report or section names to select, or click the uppermost checkbox to select all of the displayed results, then click Continue in the bottom left.

Lastly confirm you wish to delete the selected reports or dashboard sections, then click Delete Reports in the bottom left to queue this action. With large requests, it may take some time to finish; you can view the status of the operation on the operations table.

Edit report schedules for multiple reports

In the bulk operations wizard, select Report as the operation type, then click Pause/Resume Schedules.

In the next step, choose whether to pause or resume Report scheduling.

Next, choose which Reports will have their schedules paused. To filter reports, use the Campaign Group or Campaign dropdowns at the top. Alternatively, use the search field in the upper right of the report table to search for reports by name.

Click the boxes to the left of each report that will be paused, then click Continue in the bottom left.

Lastly, review and confirm the selected action. When ready, click Pause Schedule to run the action and bulk pause the selected scheduled reports.

Edit report email messaging for multiple reports

In the bulk operations wizard, select Report as the operation type, then click Edit Email Message.

Next, select which Reports you'd like to update the email messaging for. Use the Campaign Group and Campaign dropdowns at the top to filter reports. Alternatively, you can search by report name using the search box in the upper right of the report table.

Click the box to the left of the report names to select, then click Continue in the bottom left.

Type the email message you'd like to bulk apply in the message field. Once ready, click Continue in the bottom left.

Lastly, review the final message on the right for any errors before clicking Update Message in the bottom left to finalize this action.

Understanding the Bulk Operations table

The Bulk Operations table displays every bulk operation that has run in your account. On the right of the table, you can view the Status of any operation, including a progress bar, displaying the completed percentage.

To view details about each Operation, click the Operation name in the far left column to open a slide-out on the right. This is also where any details will display if a bulk operation fails, and will highlight the specific issues or affected campaigns.
