πŸ”Œ Connect PostreSQL

To avoid a failed connection or error when integrating PostgreSQL to a Client, the person connecting must have:

  • Host, Port, User, Password and Database

  • User entered must have read permissions for the entered database

If the above requirements are met, simply follow these steps to connect:

  1. Open the Client where you'd like to connect PostgreSQL, then click the Data Sources tab at the top.

  2. Click the blue Connect Data Source button in the upper right corner of the page.

  3. Search for PostgreSQL in the search bar at the top, then click the PostgreSQL card.

  1. Click Connect New Account to launch the authorization window, or if you've previously connected an account, click the gray + sign at the bottom.

  2. Follow the prompts to add host/user/password and finalize the connection.

  3. Enter the details for the instance you'd like to connect, then Save in the bottom left.

Your PostgreSQL instance will be displayed in the list of available connections. Click the circle to the left of the instance name, then click Connect in the bottom left to finalize the connection.
