The PostgreSQL integration lets you connect directly to your Client's PostgreSQL database and query data. You can display that data in widgets alongside other data on dashboards and reports.

To connect PostgreSQL successfully, the person setting up the connection needs the following:

Follow these steps to connect PostgreSQL to a Client:

Step 1: Open the Client where you'd like to connect PostgreSQL, then click the Data Sources tab at the top.

Step 2: Click the blue Connect Data Source button in the upper right corner of the page.

Step 3: Search for PostgreSQL in the search bar at the top, then click the PostgreSQL card.

Step 4: Click Connect New Account to launch the authorization window. If you've previously connected an account, click the gray Plus (+) sign at the bottom instead.

Step 5: Follow the prompts to add your host, user, and password, and finalize the connection.

Step 6: Enter the details for the instance you'd like to connect, then click Save in the bottom left.

Step 7: Find your PostgreSQL instance in the list of available connections. Click the circle to the left of the instance name.

Step 8: Click Connect in the bottom left to finalize the connection.

Please add the following IP addresses to your PostgreSQL allowlist:

Once those IPs are allowlisted, try connecting again.
