To avoid a failed connection or error when connecting GatherUp to a Client, the person connecting needs:

The global-level API key and Client ID will not authenticate. You must use a Client-specific Client ID and API Key.

Follow these steps to connect GatherUp to a Client:

Step 1: Open the Client where you'd like to connect GatherUp, then click the Data Sources tab at the top.

Step 2: Click the blue Connect Data Source button in the upper right corner of the page.

Step 3: Search for GatherUp in the search bar at the top, then click the GatherUp card.

Step 4: Click Connect New Account to launch the authorization window. If you've previously connected an account, click the gray Plus(+) sign at the bottom instead.

Step 5: Enter the GatherUp Client ID and API key, then click Save to verify and finalize the connection.

Your GatherUp Client ID and API key can be found on the Customer Activity page. Click your profile name in the upper right corner and select Client Details. Click Create API clientID and private key to generate them.
