Before You Start

To avoid a failed connection or error when integrating Choozle with a Client, the person connecting must have:

  • A Choozle email address

  • A Choozle private API key (see the FAQ section below for how to locate this)

Connect Choozle

Once you have your Choozle email address and private API key ready, follow these steps to connect Choozle to a Client.

Step 1: Open the Client where you'd like to connect Choozle, then click the Data Sources tab at the top.

Step 2: Click the blue Connect Data Source button in the upper right corner of the page.

Step 3: Search for Choozle in the search bar at the top, then click the Choozle card.

Step 4: Click the gray Connect New Account button to launch the authorization window, then follow the prompts to verify and finalize the connection.

After completing the authorization, or if you've previously connected a Choozle account, click the circle to the left of the account you want to connect.

Step 5: Click Connect in the bottom left to complete the integration setup.

Once connected, you can start using Choozle widgets on your dashboards and reports.

FAQ

How can I locate my Choozle API key?

Choozle Support shares these steps for customers who need to receive an API key:

  1. Create an "API Only" user email and add it to your Choozle account(s) with the permission setting "API User"

  2. You'll receive two system emails to register this new API user email. Register and confirm the email address using these emails

  3. Once the API user's email is confirmed, contact Choozle Support again. They will pull the key on the back end

Choozle recommends using an email that isn't tied to one individual, in case of staff turnover. Choose an email you expect to always have access to.

If you use Gmail, you can create an alias by adding a "+" after your email address name (for example, user+api@choozle.com). The alias still routes to user@choozle.com but is recognized as a separate address.
