Ignoring tests in the site auditor

There are three different ways in which you can ignore tests and pages in the auditor. This can be useful if you don't want a test to impact the audit score, or if you want to hide specific tests from your reporting.

Any ignored test, page, or issue will be automatically removed from your site audit score calculations, and can also be hidden from dashboards and reports.

Ignore entire test

You can ignore an entire test from your results (for example, ignore all 4xx errors). In order to do so, head to the "Tests" tab on the site auditor dashboard, click the checkbox next to the test and then click "Ignore".

The test will now be ignored.

Ignore an entire page

You can also ignore a complete page from your site audit results. In order to do so, head to the "Pages" tab on the site auditor dashboard. From there, scroll to the page you'd like to ignore (you can also search the page from the search box at the top right corner of the table). Once you've found the page, click the checkbox next to the page and then click the "Ignore" button.

The page will now be ignore.

Ignore a specific test on a page

In order to ignore a specific test from a given page, click the relevant page from within the "Pages" tab on the site auditor dashboard.

You'll then be taken to the page details. From there, scroll down to the specific test you'd like to ignore on this page, and hover your mouse over the test. Next, click on the eye shaped icon which appears.

A window will pop up and ask you to confirm that you want the test ignored for this page only.

Ignore a single item within a test

Finally, you can also ignore a specific item from within a test. In order to do so, navigate to the "Pages" tab in the site auditor dashboard. Next, click on a page which includes the relevant item from the table below.

Next, from within the page details, select the specific test from which you'd like to ignore an item from.

A side bar will appear on the right, listing all items relevant to this test on the page. From there, you can ignore individual items by hovering your mouse to the right of the item's name, then clicking on the eye shaped icon which will appear.

A window will then pop up and ask you to confirm that you want the test ignored in all places where this item is found.
