How to upgrade to a higher monthly membership level

To upgrade from one monthly membership plan to a higher tier monthly plan, start by navigating to your billing portal.

To do so, click your name in the upper right hand corner of your screen, then click "Billing".

Alternatively, this may also be accessed through the sidebar:

Next, click "Update Subscription".

Make sure that you're toggled to see "Monthly" pricing options, then click the subscription plan to which you'd like to upgrade.

Select your add-ons and update your payment method if needed.

Finally, review the summary of your charges due, and click "Complete Purchase".

Pro-ration on monthly plans

When you upgrade part-way through a billing cycle, your charges will be pro-rated.

In the fee total to the right, you'll notice that the charge for the new plan is pro-rated, and that a line item for "Credits" has been applied.

The pro-rated amount reflects the new monthly charge, pro-rated based on the number of days left in your existing billing cycle.

The "credits" reflect the amount paid - but unused - on your current subscription

Let's say you're currently subscribed to a monthly "Team" plan, at $99 per month, and you're looking to upgrade to the "Agency" plan at $249 per month.

You made your last $99 payment on September 4th, and your next $99 payment is due on October 4th. For the purposes of this example, let's say that today is September 17th.

Your current monthly plan is pro-rated to the amount of $99 / 30 = $3.30 per day.
Your new monthly plan will be pro-rated to the amount of $249 / 30 = $8.30 per day.

In this example, you've used 13 days of your subscription this month, and have 17 days left until the next renewal.

As a result you'll be charged a pro-rated amount for the new Agency plan, at $8.30 * 17 = $141.10

You'll also be credited for the unused days on your previous Team plan subscription, at $3.30 * 17 = $56.10

Your total amount due immediately will be $141.10 - $56.10 = $85.

Your next billing date will be on your normal billing cycle, which is October 4th in this example, in the full Agency plan amount of $249
