In order to successfully connect Google Analytics the connecting user must be an Analyst, Editor, or Administrator in GA, with no data restriction applied, and access to the Account, Property, and View IDs. If the user has access to a property, but not the view, that specific view won't be visible when connecting.

How to set up the Google Analytics integration

On July 1st, 2023 Universal Analytics was sunset by Google and replaced with Google Analytics 4. GA Universal Analytics can be connected however the data will be limited. For more details check out our breakdown of this change here.

First, navigate to the campaign where you'd like to connect the Google Analytics integration, then click "Integrations" from the menu on the left side of the screen.

Next, either search Google Analytics in the upper right search box, or click the Analytics category, then click Google Analytics.

Then click Connect Account.

A window will pop up asking you to enter your user name and password for your Google Analytics account. Enter the user name and password of the account that has permissions to the GA client account which you would like to connect.

Next, you will see a screen which says "Application Connection would like have offline access". Click "Allow".

Finally, you will be prompted to select the customer account which you would like to connect. Click the radio button next to the appropriate account, then click "Save".

If the account that you would like to connect is under a different GA account, and you need to enter different credentials to access that account, click the button that says "+ Connect New Account", then enter the appropriate credentials, and step through these screens again.
